Ben McMillan R.I.P.

Ben was a good man and a talented artist.

Want to Become a manSaveman Patron ?

Well kiddies now that we know digital music is no longer profitable for anyone, be a Patron of the Rock instead, email me a jpeg, and a dollar amount for what its worth to you to see the image on the site, and we'll do a deal. We can also call it targeted advertising, or just straight up whoring, lets see how the new profit model for music in the 21st century pans out. If you need to crunch the numbers this site gets about 2000 visitors a month.

Doin cause it I love it,

Jeff

Digital Music is worth Nothing

I read an article today about the big 5 record companies abandoning all hope of profit thorugh music sales, and instead turning to advertising. In light of that and the RadioHead giveaway, you can now download any of our albums in its entrirety from CDBaby
in mp3 format for $1. If you prefer you can still get the CD for $4. This is the minimum price CDBaby
our distributor will allow.

Do it cause you love it,

Jeff

An Open Letter to the US Senate

Dear Senator,
I watched this week in horror and shock as my government brought alternative energy production development to a stand still in this country by not renewing its tax credits. At the same time giving more money and more power to oil companies, and then top it off with 70 Billion more bullets for an illegal war for oil.

This is just unconscionable. You are complicit in all of this, and as the sea levels rise, crops wither in dust, and poor people starve and die around the world from this government's willful and spiteful crimes against humanity, there will be no redemption for you. You and your incompetent, negligent, criminal colleagues have doomed us all.

Merry Christmas,

Jeffrey C. Stetson

Rock & Rap Confidential Reviews Consigliere

Consigliere, manSaveman (Chain Drive)-Seattle foursome is heavy and thick but not really in that city's tradition (i.e. this is not an update of, say, Mudhoney). They have leanings toward classic rock and use a lot of vocal harmonies (including bassist Matilda Gromm) while wearing punk like an accessory. The main thing is the riffage-bold, unquenchable, impossible to deny.

Consigliere reviewed in Belgrade Serbia

Barikada.com a leading music website in the Capital of the fomer Yugoslavia, Belgrade Serbia, has written a very nice review of our new record, which you can check out HERE.

Here is a summary translation:
"Mansaveman has introduced themselves with 9 tracks. Basically, they are a rock band, but in their approach we can find elements of 90's rock, post new wave, punk, and alt metal. They also remind one of British post new wave acts from the mid 80's.
Their vocal passages posses a clear melodic line, and the band has a tight and coherent sound. In my opinion, 2 tracks from the album deserve special attention: Track 6 - A Remedy and Track 9 - Now You Know " -- Branimir Lokner
